Rioja Alta Wine

Rioja Alta produces its in the midst of a very extreme continental climate, typically Atlantic, but with pronounced Cantabrian influences. Its vineyards are located in an area with fairly soft soil, made of clay and limestone.

The wines of Rioja Alta are red wines, very balanced, with an alcohol content that ranges from 12 to 15 degrees, an attractive ruby color and an elegant aroma, they are stable and especially suitable for aging in oak barrels, with body and high acidity.

The most important strain in Rioja Alta is Tempranillo, a red grape. All the wines from this wine region are encompassed within the Rioja denomination of origin, forming part of a group of wines that are among the best known and renowned wines in a distinguished wine-making country such as Spain.
